The main Tampa downtown business district and Westshore area have grown phenomenally since the 1960s. Commuting throughout the Tampa Bay area is easy on the Veteran's Expressway that runs through Town 'N' Country and links with Interstate 4 and Interstate 275.

Three malls - Westshore Plaza, Westfield Shopping Town at Citrus Park and the new International Mall - provide for area shoppers and have wonderful department stores such Sak's Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom's, Nieman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Burdines and Dillards and hundreds of specialty shops and restaurants.

Ybor City is one of only three National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida. Founded by Vicente Martinez Ybor in 1886, Ybor City was known as "the cigar capital of the world" until the early 1950s. The local Hispanic culture complements the cobblestone streets and legendary factory buildings (now renovated), and the area attracts large numbers of visitors to a wide variety of shops, restaurants, clubs and galleries.
